Not only that, we are also told that our life comes from the Word of God (Luke 4:4; Prov. 4:20) so the Word is what we need to be putting our faith in for our results.

It’s very important, in order to receive maximum results, that we remember to put corresponding action WITH our faith in whatever physical health challenges we may encounter but that our FAITH remains fixed and stable on the WORD and not on the physical action that we are taking to correct the situation. This can be a difficult thing to do at first because it is easy to connect the physical action with the physical challenge with the physical result and also because that is the way we have been trained our entire lives.

It is very important to activate your faith FIRST when dealing with a physical challenge however because

1. faith is what will permanently make the change necessary to correct the physical challenge

2. faith will under gird your corresponding action and enable you to go through with it even when you don’t feel like it.

This is especially true when dealing with a particularly difficult or serious physical challenge.

It’s no wonder to us then that candida (yeast) can affect the whole body because we don’t have to be ignorant of the enemy’s tactics when we have the Word to tell us about them!

There are a lot of scriptures that you can stand on for deliverance from candida infections but I want to focus on just three or four.   A couple of them will definitely be familiar to you as they follow along the same theme as past posts on THE BLESSING!

Our heavenly Father has provided the answer to everything that we need!  There is nothing that can come along and give us problems that He is going to say, “Oh, man!  I never saw that one coming.  I wish I would have provided something for that but it just snuck up on Me!” 

No, no, no! A thousand times no!

The Bible says that He knew us since before the foundation of the world and that His thoughts are only for our peace and for an expected, hopeful future!

So, click on the audio link and we’ll see some scriptures that we can sink our faith into, then you can see about doing some cooresponding action (perhaps what I talk about in the health tips section) so that our faith is alive and active!  Remember, it’s not what you hear or just think about that works but what you actually DO!

Now, according to Proverbs 10:22, that is what the “blessing of the Lord” does!  You may be wondering what the blessing of the Lord and sorrow have to do with weight loss but they really have a great deal to do with weight loss in a variety of ways.

I have no question that this protocol coming into my life was the result of the blessing of the Lord working in my life!

Galatians 3:13-14  Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Genesis 12:2-3  And I will make of thee (Abram) a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Talk about the lifestyles of the rich and famous!!  That’s literally what God was telling Abram that He would do for him – what THE BLESSING would do for him!  Look it up!  “I will bless thee, and make thy name great” literally means I will make you rich and famous!

And Jesus went  to the cross and died so that THAT very same blessing would come on us!  Or more accurately, as Deuteronomy 28:2 says, that it would come on us AND OVERTAKE US!!

I want to concentrate on THE BLESSING this week and hook that up with Romans 12:2 which tells us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”  It will quite literally transform your entire being including your body. At least most of us who have been taught in the Word and are overweight, particularly if it has been that way for a length of time, have had to deal with this issue.  We know deep inside that we shouldn’t be fat anymore than we should smoke or get drunk.  They are all harmful to the temple of the Holy Ghost and most people wouldn’t dream of smoking in church or getting drunk in church but we just can’t seem to keep from getting fat in church without almost killing ourselves in the process!

This is where it becomes imperative to stand on Romans 8:1-2 because we MUST hear from the Holy Ghost if He is going to be able to give us direction as to how to get out of this mess of fat that we’re in and we can’t hear from Him if we are too busy beating ourselves up over something that we’ve been fighting for years and years!  So, get rid of the feeling of condemnation…….yeah, it’s only a feeling because the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made us free!  

THERE IS NO CONDEMNATION PRESENT, JUST THE FEELING OF IT! 

So, as I was saying, get rid of that feeling and walk in your freedom so that you can clearly hear the Holy Ghost’s instructions on exactly what to do!  That’s what He did for me!

What does that have to do with weight loss?  EVERYTHING!!  At least it had everything to do with my weight loss and I suspect that I’m not the only one.

I KNEW that this body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 6:19) and I KNEW that a glutton will come to poverty (Proverbs 23:21) and I KNEW that I needed to lay aside the weight that was so easily besetting me (Hebrews 12:1) but I couldn’t seem to do anything about it even standing on those scriptures from the Word.  Oh, I’d get some small, temporary results but nothing that ever amounted to much and certainly nothing that lasted very long.  Well, as it turned out, it was because I wasn’t getting to the root of the matter!

Do you remember from last week’s health tip how stress can affect your hypothalamus gland, which in turn affects your adrenal glands to secrete cortisol?  Well, it ALL ties in together!

 “Stress” was intended to be a good thing!  As a matter of fact, there is good stress today!  When your mind is actively learning a new thing that you are excited about and interested in (take your favorite hobby for instance), you are as happy as can be, your mind is just working all the time searching out more information about that subject, running through different scenarios concerning ways to implement things you are learning about it, etc. 

But, when your mind is actively working to figure out what all can possibly go wrong, what new ways you can worry about something and trying to figure out all the different ways you need to protect yourself from being hurt, insulted, stolen from or whatever then the process that God intended to help you has successfully been “twisted” into a wicked thing and it has the corresponding effects in the health of your body.
