Is The New “Organic” Like the New Math?!
By Doc Weeter | June 12, 2007
For those of you who missed it, there was a very interesting article came out on Saturday, June 9th in the LA times by Scott J. Wilson drawing my attention back to the organic food question.
The USDA is “considering a list of 38 nonorganic ingredients that will be permitted in organic foods. Because of the broad uses of these ingredients — as colorings and flavorings, for example — almost any type of manufactured organic food could be affected, including cereal, sausage, bread and beer.” (for the complete article as well as the list of ingredients, please visit www.latimes.com/news/la-fi-organic9jun09,1,1346287.story)
Apparently USDA spokeswoman Joan Shaffer declined to comment on the plan. Well, I guess so! What is there to say?
In my opinion, it appears as though organic food was having too big of an impact both economically and even on the physical well being of people for the liking of some people! (a really good book for information on this may be found HERE and is a must read!)
So, how are you supposed to know if what you are eating is REALLY organic?

Osteoporosis
By Doc Weeter | June 4, 2007
Let’s talk this week about a health topic that almost everybody knows because almost everybody either has this or knows someone that does.
Osteoporosis. Or, a lesser degree of bone loss, osteopenia.
This condition of bone demineralization affects many thousands of people each year and yet in many, many cases it is very preventable and it is even reversible in most cases.
You didn’t know that?!
I’m not too surprised because the process doesn’t involve drugs! There is a law in physiology called Wolf’s law which basically states that if you put stress on a bone, it will lay down more bone.
This law is so basic and simple and if put to work it will greatly benefit those suffering from the multitude of affects stemming from osteoporosis.
So, let’s talk about how you can put that law to work for you. The application is exceedingly simple. Click on the audio link below and let’s get started…
